The wine has a fresh nose with notes of lime and gooseberry, with some softer hints of ripe peach, vanilla and chalk.

The palate is vibrant, with a strong acid core, layered by notes of orange rind and lime. Great balance, with lovely purity and length.

This is an exceptional wine – textural and dry and soft, especially for such a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a wine with delicious flinty flavours, made entirely from hand picked, wild fermented grapes which spent seven months maturing in aged oak. Barrel work softens and makes this wine smooth but doesn’t imprint woody flavours on it. This is a stunning dry white.
