Black Peak Wines is the new wine brand of James McElrea, concentrating on Riesling and Pinot Noir wines.
His time working with fruit in the various sub-regions of Central Otago lead and inspired him to create his own wines of delicacy and finesse.
Grapes are grown on an elevated site in Queensbury above the mighty Clutha river where the gravel, schist and mineral quartz soils produce delicately flavoured grapes that bask ripening in the Central Otago sun.
