Mount Michael Chardonnay 2021

The first Mount Michael Chardonnay since 2014. Hand harvested on the 28th March, the fruit was destemmed and allowed an hours skin ontgact time before pressing. After settling overnight the juice was racked to barrel for wild primary and malolactic fermentation. The wine aged in barrel for 10 months, before bottling in March 2022.

The 2021 Mount Michael Chardonnay is brimming with delightful pear, quince, brioche and almond aromas on the nose. Medium weight and body, the primary fruits are complemented by créme brulee and baking spice notes enhanced by a touch of oak. 

There is a refreshing citrus acidity to this wine and a gentle phenolic grip to round out the long, elegant finish.
